Spacious Home Downtown - Walk to Parks & Shops

Great house in downtown Luray! We loved hanging out on the porch, both for morning coffee and happy hour. The house was very clean and had comfortable beds. It was fun to watch the trains go by, and the whistles didn’t bother us at all. It was nice to be within walking distance to restaurants. It was great to be in the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The host was very quick to respond to questions beforehand and checked in to make sure everything was going well. If you are looking for a charming but comfortable house, you’ve found it!

The house itself was clean, spacious, and should have served us well. However, upon arrival, we learned the tap water was shut off and the hot tub was not working. Once the water bill was paid, the water came back on but not in time for us to shower (after hiking) before our dinner reservations. Despite maintenance efforts, the hot tub never worked, which is why we chose this place and paid more than other options in Luray.The real frustration came when I asked for a partial refund due to the non-functional hot tub. The response from the host was a definite yes. That was in late April, and it is now early June. I have contacted the host every other day for 6 weeks and have received only empty promises, but have not seen a refund.The house is great, but the management is not. The insufficient management is the sole reason for my 3 out of 5 stars.

Charming, historic house steps from downtown Luray. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for the week. The hot tub and outdoor space was a great feature, but unfortunately the hot tub heater was not working during our stay. The host communicated progress of the repairs effectively, but the maintenance team was unable to secure the correct part to complete the repairs before we checked out. Still, our stay was wonderful and relaxing. We would book this place again.
